La Cyclo’Corse is a two-day celebration of cycling on the island of Corsica which lies about 100 miles south of Nice. The days include a shorter cyclosportive on day 1 with timed sections up the climbs, and a choice of sportives on day 2 of which the longest is 140km with 1950m of climbing.
This event is a lovely opportunity to explore the cycling potential of this beautiful island, fast-growing in popularity amongst the cycling community following the start of the Tour de France there in 2013. We can either extend our stay on Corsica, or combine this event with cycling on the Côte d’Azur, based in beautiful Beaulieu-sur-mer just down the coast near Nice…make it a long weekend to remember or extend to a full week of early-season training which will pay dividends for the rest of the year.
Either fly directly into Corsica, or if combining with cycling on the Côte d’Azur, we take the ferry from Nice to Bastia or Porto Vecchio, a 5h30 hour crossing.
