"Event Horizon"
We organise a number of our tours around an event – a sportive, a triathlon, a professional road race, amateur road race etc – which is sure to make it a trip to remember.
These trips can make for a perfect short break. For sportives and spectating WorldTour events: 3 days, 2 nights – with 2 days exploring on the bike what the region has to offer, combined with 1 day of the event itself. For triathlons: 4 days, 3 nights.
Of course you can extend these trips by any number of days if you wish.
You can join these trips as a lone cyclist joining a mixed group, or, depending on the bookings and the number in your group, it may possible to do these trips as a private tour if you prefer…please enquire.
Whether mixed or private, the group size is small, making these trips very relaxed and friendly.
Seamless logistics from the moment you’re met at the airport.
The base is perfectly situated, everything falls into place effortlessly so you really can just focus on enjoying the adventure and relaxing in great company – whether back at base over a coffee or beer with the stunning Med views at sunrise/sunset, or dining out at the great local restaurants.

Cyclosportive heaven
The Provençal sportives may not be as well known as L’Etape du Tour or La Marmotte, but are none the worse for that, indeed a smaller field makes for an altogether less stressful day…it’s great to join anything from several hundred to a few thousand enthusiasts for the day on routes carefully chosen to showcase the very best of the locale, and you have the choice of challenging yourself against some of the region’s top riders, or enjoying a relaxed day out on the bike with plenty of joie de vivre and bonhomie.
But make no mistake, these sportives are serious challenges. The Mercan’Tour Granfondo Bonette, for example, at 195km and +4600m, is one of the most demanding sportives in Europe.

Watching the pros
Two great opportunities to watch the pro peloton at WorldTour level: Paris-Nice and Milan-San Remo. Both can be combined with competing in a sportive as part of the 3 day, 2 night, long weekend.
Paris-Nice is the first week-long stage race of the calendar in Europe, and always draws the top riders, keen to test their form as the season gets into full swing. But the event is completely low-key compared to the Tour de France, so crowds and minimal, riders are relaxed, and there is unparalleled access to the teams and riders as they warm up and sign on.
