The inaugural Granfondo Monte-Carlo sportive ran in 2014: a great route that starts in the glamourous principality of Monaco, takes in the Col de la Madone, the Col de Braus and the Col St Roch, and finishing with a short but tough climb back up to Peille and the finish on Mont Agel before the return to Monaco. The sportive is neutralised at the start and finish, so of the 140km Grand route 114km is timed, but it still manages to pack 3600m of climbing in!
This is one of the closest of all the sportives – just a nice short warm-up ride from Beaulieu to the start in Monte-Carlo – and taking place in October makes it the perfect event to round off your season in style.
